Last summer I participated in a boudoir shoot that a friend’s wedding photographer offered up. The whole experience was really amazing – we had a hair stylist, makeup artist, and all the clothes we had chosen for that very special shoot. In the back of my mind I thought putting together my own boudoir session would be great fun, but it would have to wait awhile as I hadn’t even shot a real session yet.
This last January my friend Stephanie asked me if I would want to get a boudoir session together and then the ball was rolling…I wanted to wait til the summer so I had time to practice my lighting and get stronger in posing skills. My fiance works with models and makeup artists and I thought what would be more fun than going into that world for a little bit…have a girls night at a hotel with drinks, Jennifer the (AMAZING!!!) makeup artist and hair stylist, clothes out the wazoo, and Stephanie using her mad styling skills to help pull everything together.
We set a date, time, and location and with tons of things in tow and set up, I began my first boudoir session. I am going to make this a 4-part series with the other three girls following in the next three days.
Here are my favorites of Stephanie!

Boudoir sessions are perfect for a fun girls party, a bachelorette party, anniversary or wedding gift, or a just because you’re you!! All sessions that are booked require a makeup artist and hair stylist and will be shot at a hotel of your choice. Just because you book a boudoir session does not mean that they’ll appear here on the blog. I have been given special permission to post these photos from the women. If you don’t want any of yours shown then I will keep them under lock and key
